Spring Time Road Trip ...

The girls have confiscated the camera. I have added that to the list of Molly's college stuff. She needs her own. Abby will get one for her birthday. Then we won't have this issue.

I grabbed these pictures off the Explore Asheville site.

Yesterday afternoon, I saw the cutest little girl and clean forgot I had a camera on my phone. She had on a bright yellow shirt and a hot pink patterned floral "twirly" skirt AND hot pink sparkly cowboy boots. Too cute.

Special thanks to all of you who have left such sweet messages on the Hold My Hand Post. Notes back to each of you are posted in the comments. And to those who have added to the college supply list. Dang that list grew.

Now for the road trip part of this post. I am a huge fan of google reader. Easy to subscribe to your blog feeds. In slow moments at work, I can reach for the far ends of the internet. I find myself clicking away and following the links - so much fun. As I find places I want to keep, I add them to my subscriber list.

My interests are varied but I do want to share some links today. Take off on this trip with me. If you have some you want to share - leave them in the comments and we will add them as stops on the journey. Have a great trip.

Stop #1. Calamity Kim - Miss Kim has an apron feature in the new Cloth Paper Scissors Studio Magazine. Kim is a gifted artist with embellished textiles. The new shawl she just completed for a friend is one of my favorites ever.

Stop #2. Craving Anthropologie - I want to be an Anthropologie store designer. The windows and store displays are always different (eccentric) and wonderful. The retail materials - OMG - wish they made more stuff in real big girl sizes. Love this blog so much.

Stop #3. Housemartin - owner of a new shop - Ink and Peat - the blog header reads "inspired home and floral" Lovely images - great floral designs - visual treats in every post.

Stop #4. The Lavender Beekeeper. Lady Em - gifted storyteller. Go back in the archives and read the rain children story from the beginning.

Stop #5. Stitchful Thinking. Cross Stitch was my very first creative passion and I am slowing finding myself drawn back into using that medium in my mixed media work. This is one of several that I read on a regular basis.

Stop #6. DecoDivaDeb Deb is a merchandising stylist exraordinaire. I actually read all of her blogs. I study her ideas and interpret them frequently in my own way at the store. I have also used many of he ideas and links to create table displays at parties and showers. Well worth the side trip.

Stop #7. Sweet Paul - Just discovered this one. A photo stylist - wonderful details here. The post that caught my eye was one about doilies. I'll be attempting the doily rose using some thread I just thrifted in a loverly soft yellow. Again an inspired interpretation.

Stop #8. Victorian Steampunk Laptop - Okay this is not a blog. Ullabenulla (see links on sidebar) posted this link yesterday and I find it worthy of sharing. Wish I could afford this laptop myself. Surf around here - this guy is talented.

There you go - a Wednesday Spring Break Road Trip without spending a dime. Have fun - surf carefully - stop and eat on the way - (I'm having coffee and an oatmeal cream pie).

Have a great day.
